Phoenix is looking for a number of people to fill summer (2016 and 2017), on call positions. Employees are needed in the Kamloops, Penticton, Clearwater and West Kelowna areas.
This work is providing first aid services to the Ministry of Forests – Wildfire Management Branch, fire suppression crews, on an as needed basis.
The Phoenix crew will consist of one driver and one first aid attendant.
First Aid Attendant Position Must have an OFA-3 ticket or equivalent certification. EMR or PCP with PII {Paramedic In Industry} is acceptable. Must also have a S-100 forestry course.
Driver Position Must have a Class 4 unrestricted B.C. drivers licence and a clean drivers abstract, OFA-1 and S-100 forestry course.
This is summer work with wages starting at $18.18 per hour, typically 12 Hr (+-) shifts. Past years have had a few 18 hour days with employees making up to $545.00 per shift. Local employees are required as accommodations are not provided.
